Devon mother and son 'thrown off bus' in Plymouth

A pregnant mother named: Sharon Tracy claims to be thrown off a bus, because the bus driver was disturbed by her little two-year-old son's behaviour. She was told by the bus driver to keep her son Brandon quiet. She said that she and her son just came back from town. Her son was exhausted, hot and screaming to get out of the bus.She said she was really doing her best to make him stop crying, but when se couldn't make him stop crying the bus driver made her get off the bus more than a mile from her stop. The alleged incident happened on Tuesday as part-time hairdresser Mrs Tracey, who is four months pregnant, was heading home to Crownhill from the city centre. At the Manadon roundabout, about 30 minutes walk from her house, the bus driver stopped. Her husband Paul, 38, said: "I had a phone call from her saying a bus driver had thrown her and my son of the bus. A CityBus spokesman said CCTV from the bus was being checked and all evidence would be investigated.
I can understand why the bus driver was a bit irritated by the little Brandon, but I think it is a bit exaggerating to let the mother get off the bus, especially because she is pregnant. I know that he sees noisy children all day, but I think he could have let her stay until her bus stop. After all she had paid her ticket to be in that bus.

After being taken for X-rays on her injuries, she told police two youths had knocked her to the ground as she walked home along a footpath, subjecting her to a violent sexual assault.More than 40 officers were assigned to the case, and four local students were arrested and questioned for a total of 64 hours, during which time one attempted to kill himself.
But police became suspicious when it emerged Ibrahim’s injuries were inconsistent with being attacked and they began investigating her behaviour.
I think it is ridiculous what this woman has done. It is just too crazy for words. I can't imagine why someone would do something like this. Because of her innocent people could have end up in jail. All this madness just because a friend of her didn't want to lend her some money. Apparently she had a problem with herself and wanted to let the other pay for it. On the websites there were some pictures shown from her facebook and I can tell.. She didn't look like a sweet little angel on those pictures..

UK to deport child asylum seekers to Afghanistan

The Uk Border Agency is planning £4m for "reintegration centre" in Afghanistan so that failed Afghan child asylum seekers can be returned home.
An organisation is being sought to run the centre in the capital, Kabul, which would aim to help their resettlement.
Until now, the UK has had a policy of not returning children under 18 to Afganistan unless they are accompanied by their families. So, what they want to do now is to let children under 18 go back alone to a country where there is war and which is not safe for them and there is a chance that they could not be reunited again with their family which means that they would be all alone in a country where they have nothing left.This move is part of a Europe-Wide plan to increase the number of people returned to Afghanistan. However, the refugee council said there were "serious questions" about how the UK plan would work, because there had been little said about how these children would be kept safe.
I think that the UK should consider closing his borders instead of letting everyone in and than bringing everyone back again. There are a lot of people who flee to the UK for economical reasons, hoping to find a better life there. It is true that if all the children stay in the Uk, it means that there should be more help provided for them and this cannot always be the case. However, I do think it is irresponsable to let children go back alone to a country where there is war.

70% of new teachers fail to find jobs

More than two out of three newly-qualified teachers are failing to find a full-time job within a year, according to new figures that have been described as a tragedy for Scotland’s schools. The problem is particularly acute in the secondary sector, with only 48 per cent of new teachers securing full-time jobs there, compared to 62.2 per cent in April 2009. Because of the economical downturn there are lots of schools who needed to tighten education budgets.
Tony Finn, chief executive of the GTCS said:'The Nationalists’ casualisation of the teaching profession is a tragedy not only for the young teachers directly affected, it will seriously damage education in Scotland,” We are losing hundreds of young teachers who have been expensively trained, meanwhile preparations for the implementation of Curriculum for Excellence are in turmoil because there are fewer teachers in permanent work to do the necessary work to make CfE a success.”
I think Tony Finn is right, if a lot of teachers are not able to find a work, although they have been very well eduacted for it, it also means that a lot of children do not get the education that they deserve. Teacher have followed an education to educate others. I do not know how it is in Scotland, but I know that in Holland they have had a lot of campaigns to motivate people to become a teacher, becoming a teacher is something that has become quite unpopulair these days and if it becomes difficult to find a job in this sector, it is for sure that a next generation would not want to become a teacher at all.

Some of these women decide to have an abortion after having expensive IVF treatment.Some terminate pregnancies after splitting from their husband or boyfriend, others because they were pressured into starting a family. Committing abortions after such treatments worries doctors and has triggered a backlash from family campaigners who accuse the women of treating babies like “designer goods”.Data obtained from the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority reveal that an average of 80 abortions are carried out in England Wales and Scotland each year following IVF treatment. Abortion has always been a difficult subject and I don't really know what to say about this. I find it awful that women spent so much time on trying to have a baby with IVF treatment and than suddenly decide that they do not what to have a baby. I think that in this society people don't feel the rush to procreate themselves as they had before. So, when they are getting older they think that they should have children just like the other and then they realise that they are not ready to become a mother.

Why teenagers can't concentrate: too much grey matter

After a research scientist have discovered that teenagers' brains continue developing far longer into adulthood than previously thought. Adolescents may look like young adults but their brain structure resembles that of much younger children. Dr Iroise Dumontheil of University College London's Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience claims that it is not the fault of the teenagers that they cannot concentrate on school, it is because of the brain structures. Using MRI scans, the brain activity of adolescents were monitored as they tried to solve a problem in their heads while ignoring environmental distractions. The scans revealed an unexpected level of activity in the prefrontal cortex, a large region at the front of the brain involved in decision-making and multitasking. This indicated that the brain was working less effectively than that of a gown up person. This means that the research has found out that there is too much going on in the brains of teenagers.
I think it is right that they have done research to find out how the brain of a teenagers works. ALthough, I am convinced that a lot of teenager who will read this news will use this as an excuse. I think that teenagers have a lot on their minds and that we could expect this results. Teenagers need time to develop themselves and their brain, this is why I think that people from 18 our 19 years cannot be seen as adults. They are still between being a teenager and an adult. This is why I think that we should motivate young people to learn and to concentrate more, but we should not expect too much of them.
