England 0 Algeria 0: match report

England is not doing so well at the world championship in South Africa. Last time they played against The United States of America and ended up with 1-1 and today they played 0-0 against Algeria. Such was the lack of English threat on Algeria’s goal that a bird settled on the stanchion, admiring the view, even changing ends at the interval, hardly the greatest endorsements of England’s attack. Desperately attempting to shake off this sloth, Heskey went close, forcing a corner from which Gerrard’s powerful header was saved by M Bohli. Capello had seen enough, hooking Heskey and sending on Jermain Defoe for the final 20.

I watched the game and I have to say that it was not really an impressive match. I found Algeria much better than England, which I found annoying because me and my dad had bet on England for the World championship of South Africa. I hope they will do it better next week against Slovenie

  1. Most of the major European teams in the world cup aren’t doing that well. I think it’s sad for England because it is of course a football country with a lot of supporters. But they can go to the next round now, so I hope they will do better now. But Holland has won everything so we’ll just support them ;)
