Leyla Ibrahim,22 years old, is due to be sentenced next month. After a night out she had asked a male friend to lend her some money for a taxi, her friend refused and this is why she invented that she was attacked by students. Deciding she wanted to "teach people a lesson" She cut her hair offand tore the blue frilly dress she was wearing as well as her black leggings and bra, leaving her breasts partially exposed. After being taken for X-rays on her injuries, she told police two youths had knocked her to the ground as she walked home along a footpath, subjecting her to a violent sexual assault.More than 40 officers were assigned to the case, and four local students were arrested and questioned for a total of 64 hours, during which time one attempted to kill himself.
But police became suspicious when it emerged Ibrahim’s injuries were inconsistent with being attacked and they began investigating her behaviour.
I think it is ridiculous what this woman has done. It is just too crazy for words. I can't imagine why someone would do something like this. Because of her innocent people could have end up in jail. All this madness just because a friend of her didn't want to lend her some money. Apparently she had a problem with herself and wanted to let the other pay for it. On the websites there were some pictures shown from her facebook and I can tell.. She didn't look like a sweet little angel on those pictures..

BeantwoordenVerwijderenO my god. She totally has lost her mind. To teach people a lesson? Why? Woman who have really been attacked and raped have to life with it every day. And she has made up this story just because her friend didn’t want to give her money for a cab? Come on, why go alone in the first place that is just stupid and asking form some real trouble. I pity the four students that had to go through the questioning. She should indeed go to a mental institute. And I also agree that she is a danger to herself and to people around her.

Now, in addition to not having the money to pay for a cab, she's going to have to buy a new dress, a new legging and a new bra. And oh yeah, she'll have to pay her lawyer and the medical bills too, of course. Smart move, birdbrain.

Is she out of her mind? I can imagine how awful this must be for these poor innocent students! I think she needs to be locked up in a mental institution for a while, and that somebody needs to watch her closely, because when you do these type of things, you are not only a danger to the world, but also to yourself.

I cannot understand how you can hurt yourself so badly in order to get what you want. And you even inflict damage to peoples reputation by saying they've raped you of some sort. This woman needs to be monitered before she does something like this again. I totally agree with you Manon, she has a problem and delt with it in a completely wrong way.
